A Nature-Based Shamanic Workshop
Healing with Live Wood is an invitation to slow down and remember that humans are part of a living, interconnected world. It’s an opportunity to reconnect with nature in a direct, grounded, and experiential way.
This workshop is guided by Dusty Miller XIV and Claudia Amisha Miller, custodians of a rare European family tradition that has worked in respectful partnership with trees for many centuries.
What is this workshop about?
At the heart of this work is LiveWood: wood that is not taken or cut by force, but offered by living trees through ritual cooperation. This approach reflects an ancient understanding of nature as a living system with which humans can cooperate, rather than something to control or exploit.
The workshop explores how restoring this relationship can support emotional balance, inner clarity, and a deeper sense of connection to life. It is not about adopting beliefs, but about experiencing how contact with nature can bring calm, resilience, and renewed inner strength.
Who is this workshop for?
This workshop is open to anyone who feels drawn to reconnect with nature as a source of grounding and support. No previous experience with shamanic or nature-based practices is required.
It may be especially meaningful for people who:
- Feel mentally busy, emotionally overloaded, or disconnected from themselves
- Are seeking a deeper sense of grounding and stability
- Want to experience healing that goes beyond talking and analysis
- Are curious about how nature can support personal growth and well-being
What participants often experience and take with them
This workshop offers a space to slow down, reconnect, and experience support on a deep, human level. Through guided exercises, contact with nature, and shamanic healing work, participants often experience:
- A stronger sense of grounding and inner stability, supporting emotional regulation and resilience
- Release of accumulated stress or tension, creating more space and ease in the body and mind
- Increased awareness of inner responses and patterns, without judgement or pressure to change
- A growing sense of trust in oneself, in life, and in one’s natural rhythm
- Renewed confidence that comes from feeling supported rather than having to manage everything alone
- Moments of inspiration and aliveness, reconnecting with curiosity, meaning, and presence
- A deepened connection with nature that continues beyond the workshop and can be drawn on in daily life
Many participants leave feeling calmer, clearer, and more centred—better able to meet everyday challenges with presence, confidence, and emotional balance.
What makes this workshop unique?
This workshop is guided by the Dusty Millers, custodians of a rare family tradition rooted in pre-Celtic European woodcraft. Their work is based on LiveWood: wood that is not taken, but offered through respectful cooperation with ancient trees.
Dusty Miller XIV is the son of Dusty Miller XIII and carries a legacy of thousands of years of woodcraft and healing. He is recognized as a Master Elfin Craftsman, one of the last two practicing LiveWood craftsmen in the world.
LiveWood is treated as a living partner rather than a material object, reflecting an old way of relating to nature that emphasizes balance, respect, and relationship.
Alongside sharing this tradition, Dusty Miller XIV offers shamanic healing sessions focused on restoring balance, emotional integration, and inner stability, working closely with nature as a source of support and grounding.
Claudia Amisha Miller supports the emotional and relational aspects of the work, helping ensure the experience remains grounded, safe, and accessible for modern participants.
Together, they offer a rare opportunity to experience an ancient nature-based approach to restoring inner balance and natural rhythm.
What happens during the workshop?
The workshop is experiential and gently guided. Rather than theory or instruction, the focus is on direct experience and integration. Activities may include:
- Guided time in nature, including mindful contact with trees
- Learning to sense and respond to subtle physical and emotional signals
- Shamanic healing work led by Dusty Miller XIV
- Simple earth-based rituals rooted in ancient European woodcraft traditions
- Exercises that support grounding, presence, and inner listening
- Group sharing to integrate and reflect on personal experiences
All practices are approached with respect and choice. Participants are encouraged to engage at their own pace and within their own boundaries.
