About Wellness Week - Colon Health
Often illness starts in the colon, so detoxifying it is an effective preventive medicine. This cleanse will help you to improve all bodily functions so that you can feel vital and energized again. Individual sessions are included in this program. The workshop is limited to 8 participants.
The colon is a crucial and often overlooked organ of the human body. Responsible for eliminating toxins and absorbing water, electrolytes and vitamins from your food, the colon plays an important role in keeping you healthy.
Consuming coffee, meat, candy, cheese, salt, alcohol or drugs can irritate your intestines and colon, which then produce a mucus layer to protect the intestinal wall. Unfortunately, this layer also clogs up the intestines and inhibits the absorption of nutrients. A slower transit time inside your colon can lead to increased bacterial growth, fermentation and gas. This results in malabsorption, malnutrition and a high toxicity level in your body, which can cause a wide range of chronic diseases.
Colonic irrigations are effective in clearing up waste that has accumulated in your colon. But irrigations alone are not enough. To remove the mucus layer you will need to eat a special diet. It must be low in sodium (salt) and include food that will stop stimulating the intestines to produce mucus, such as vegetables, fruit and millet.
During the Colon Cleanse we will provide a colon-friendly diet and a supplement drink containing natural clay and psyllium husks. This diet is based on the colon cleanse Arise & Shine, developed by Dr. Richard Anderson.
You can choose two options for your diet. The first option is a gentle program that includes three organic alkaline meals a day during the Wellness Week. The second option is a four-week diet, which you will complete during the Wellness Week with a fast of organic vegetable broth and vegetable juices. This option requires three weeks of preparatory dieting at home and is recommended only for those who have already had some experience with cleansing procedures.
Dieting with a group of friends is fun and motivating. During the week you will also be able to participate in dune and beach walks, meditations, yoga classes, healing sessions and seminars offered by our professional health team. We will teach you detox procedures and exercises that you can continue to practice at home. Individual sessions included in the program are:

Living Blood Analysis
You will benefit from Living Blood Analysis as a way to monitor your health during the week. In the microscope you'll be able to observe if your red blood cells are well formed or if they are clumping together. Studying the condition of the white blood cells will give you a picture of the pressure on your immune system.
Research shows more and more that the immune system and the emotional system of the body are closely interrelated. Learning to take charge of your emotions and dealing with stress will be an essential part of this week. Sangitama, the leader of the Wellness Week, is a Humaniversity Therapist with over 25 years of experience helping people to heal their bodies and emotions. She will guide you through sharings, meditations, emotional release and Mental Field Therapy. Through this work, you will become more grounded and relaxed in your body and mind. You will learn how to benefit from your emotions rather than feeling sabotaged by them. This will help you to maintain your physical and emotional health well into the future.
